East Side Union High School District Special Education Parent Advisory
Meeting Schedule 2017-18

The Special Education Parent Advisory provides education, training and networking opportunities for parents of students with disabilities whose children receive special education services in the district. The purpose of these meetings is to address issues of interest and concern on specific topics of interest to parents of these adolescents and young adults. Please join us for information, networking and an opportunity to interact with district administration on matters important to you and your student.

Limited Conservator Workshop

Interactive presentation by special needs planning attorney Lorna J. Drope on limited conservatorship. Learn how a limited conservatorship can protect an adult with developmental disabilities from harm or exploitation while allowing for maximum development of self-reliance and independence.

Transition to Life After Adult Transition (Post-Secondary)

Students who participate in Adult Transition/Post-Secondary services move into a new world of support when they age out of public school services. This session will describe how we prepare our students and families for life after adult transition, and what awaits them in terms of supports.
